📖 Overview

An experimental robotic bodyguard prototype, Killdroid was designed for civilian protection. However, a malfunction during testing caused it to become hostile and escape. With its production halted, this rogue unit now roams free, utilizing its advanced combat capabilities for destruction.

Appearance

Killdroid is an advanced combat robot with visible propulsion systems and weapon platforms. Its design emphasizes its aerial capabilities, with a streamlined chassis and integrated weaponry, creating the impression of an imposing, high-tech aerial predator.

Abilities

Eject

Cooldown: 2.5 seconds

Killdroid initiates a windup that slows it just below walking speed, then fires a rocket dealing 25 damage with AoE on impact. The rocket explodes whether it hits a civilian or a wall.

Ensuring all rocket modules working correctly, correctly calculated all angles of variance, and FIRE!

Details:

Your primary attack and only way to deal direct damage. The windup is predictable, so aim where civilians will be, not where they are. Rockets pierce walls.

Tips:

  • Pre-aim around corners and walls—splash damage can catch civilians hiding behind thin cover.
  • While in Flight, your rockets gain auto-aim on the nearest civilian, making aerial bombardment extremely effective.

Flight

Cooldown: 20 seconds

Killdroid locks in place for ~1 second with a warning symbol, then takes flight. While airborne, it gains a crosshair on the nearest civilian and auto-aim for rockets. After a duration, Killdroid falls and ragdolls briefly.

Calibrating all Thrusters, Shifting weight to improve aerodynamics, and we have LIFT OFF!

Details:

Flight bypasses terrain and reveals the nearest civilian with a crosshair. You can shoot while flying with perfect accuracy. Watch out for low ceilings indoors and pits when landing.

Tips:

  • Use Flight to traverse large gaps like water on Temple, but be ready to Flight again if you land in a hazard.
  • On Tundra, if you spawn opposite to civilians on the bridge, you can immediately Flight and shoot them while they're choosing abilities.
  • You're not immune to stuns in Flight—watch for elevated positions where civilians with Punch can knock you down.

Deploy

Cooldown: 15 seconds

Killdroid calls a stationary killbot, which takes ~4 seconds to place. The killbot beeps 5 times when a civilian is nearby, highlighting them, then explodes for 25 damage. Max 3 killbots on the map at once; placing a 4th detonates the oldest.

ACCESSING REMOTE DATABASE, SENDING S.O.S. SIGNAL. REQUESTING BACKUP.

Details:

Killbots can't be baited or blocked. Use them to lock down choke points, protect objectives, or force civilians into the open. You can place them mid-air during Flight.

Tips:

  • Place killbots in tight corridors or near objectives where civilians must pass.
  • Killbots reveal and slow cloaked civilians, making them excellent anti-Cloak tools.

Detonate

Cooldown: 25 seconds

Killdroid stalls and blares a siren, then lowers its max stamina to 70 with no regen, locks abilities, and gains a massive speed boost for a 6-second countdown. Upon detonation, it deals 25 damage in a large AoE, ragdolls itself, and loses 125 HP. Nearby civilians not hit are shellshocked and greatly slowed.

WARNING, WARNING, SELF-DESTRUCT SEQUENCE INITIATED IN T-MINUS 5... 4... 3...

Details:

A desperation tool or finisher for low-health civilians. You're extremely fast but vulnerable during the countdown. Abilities unlock 1.5s after detonation. The explosion can't be blocked.

Tips:

  • Use Detonate to finish civilians who've survived 3 rockets (75 damage total), as they're low enough to die from the 25 explosion.
  • Walk instead of sprint during Detonate to conserve the limited stamina pool—you're already much faster.

🎯 How to Use

  • You're slower than civilians on the ground (24 sprint vs. their 27)—rely on Flight and Eject's range, not chases.
  • Your Ignorance passive removes invisible walls, letting you take shortcuts, but also lets you fall into deadly pits on maps like Tundra and Teapot Paradise.
  • Use Flight on large maps to cut civilians off, then rain rockets from above with auto-aim—but avoid low ceilings like The HQ's basement.
  • Deploy killbots in choke points or loops to deny space; in multi-killer modes, place them on objectives to protect your ally's setups.

🛡️ How to Counter

  • 🛡️Killdroid's sprint speed is 24—slower than your 27. Outrun it when Flight is on cooldown and avoid predictable paths.
  • 🛡️Eject has a long windup and telegraphs its aim. Use walls and pillars to break line of sight, then juke sideways when it fires.
  • 🛡️Killbots take 5 beeps to explode and can't be blocked or baited. Keep moving and don't linger near them—they reveal cloaked players.
  • 🛡️Revolver and Punch can stun you mid-Flight or during Eject's windup—play cautiously around aggressive civilians with these abilities.
  • 🛡️Use Dash or Adrenaline when Detonate's countdown starts to escape the AoE; Taunt can negate the explosion if timed at the last second.

💡 Best Combos

  • 💡Start rounds on Tundra by immediately using Flight if civilians spawn on the opposite bridge—they'll be distracted and vulnerable.
  • 💡Spam Eject at range to wear down civilians, then Deploy killbots in their retreat paths to force them into rocket fire.
  • 💡Use Flight to cross hazards like Temple's water, but keep another Flight ready in case you land in danger.
  • 💡In multi-killer modes with Harken, shoot rockets near her to generate free noise and extend her Enraged state.
